All The February Activities At The Middletown Public Library

The library has planned many free programs for children and teens this February:

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Visit the Middletown Township Public Library throughout the month of February to take advantage of any of these free programs for children or teens:

Take Your Child to the Library Day – February 3 All Day: Get to know your library at this special all-day event in the Children’s Room with activities, displays and a special story time at 10 a.m. Registration is required for story time.

STEM Session with Mrs. McChem – February 6 at 4:15 p.m.: For grades 3-5. Learn about STEM through hands-on projects at this monthly program. Registration is required!

Cards for a Cause – February 7 from 3-7 pm: Teens are invited to drop in and make Valentine’s Cards for local seniors to earn volunteer hours. Limit five cards for a total of five hours.

Read to a Dog (grades K-5) – February 8 at 4 pm & February 19 at 6 pm: Stop by the library to improve literacy skills by reading aloud to a non-judgmental therapy dog! Registration is required at mtpl.org.

Tween Game Night (ages 9-12) – February 13 at 7 pm: Bring a friend or make a friend as we play games like Bingo, Pictionary, HeadsUp and more! Registration is required at mtpl.org.

Valentine Cookie Decorating for Teens – February 14 at 4 pm: Drop by and decorate a sweet treat at this teen program. Registration is required as space and supplies are limited.

Pokemon Trading Night (ages 8+) – February 15 at 7 pm: Bring your own cards to trade with fellow Pokemon fans as you discuss the books and movies! No registration is required.

Astronomy Observing Session at Poricy Park – February 16 at 6:30 pm: Join us at Poricy Park as the STAR Astronomy club sets ups their telescopes and show us the wonders in the winter sky. No registration is required.

Maple Sugaring at Poricy Park – February 19 at 1 pm: Join us at Poricy Park for science experiments, syrup sampling and a short hike to check on tapped trees as we learn about maple sugaring in NJ. Registration is required.

Crafternoon (ages 5-8) – February 20 at 4:15 pm: Come and create an edible birdhouse feeder at this fun crafternoon event. Please note: there is an allergy alert for this program. Registration is required.

Snowman Popdown Craft with David and Susan Udovic – February 26 at 4:15 pm: Join a winter snow craft for ages five and over. Registration is required.

Getting Crafty: Tissue Paper Flowers for Teens – February 28 at 4 pm: Drop in and make tissue paper flowers for someone special at this teen program. Registration is required.
