"All I Want is a Job!" Book Reading by Mary Gatta at Middletown Public Library

Local author Mary Gatta went undercover, posing as a client in a New Jersey One-Stop-Career Center. One-Stop-Career Centers are supposed to be a New Jersey unemployed worker’s go-to resource on the way to re-employment. But how well do these centers function? Drawing together tales from the frontlines, Mary Gatta makes discoveries and recommendations for shifts in workforce policy.

Dr. Mary Gatta is currently a Senior Scholar at Wider Opportunities for Women. She holds a PhD and M.A. in Sociology from Rutgers University and a B.A. in Social Science from Providence College.
