MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A Lightbridge Academy will open in Middletown next year.
Lightbridge Academy is a daycare center. Lightbridge provides early childhood education for children ages as young as six weeks through pre-kindergarten.
They will open at 264 Rt. 35 south in Middletown (264 NJ-35, Middletown, NJ 07748), in the area of Zoni's Brooklyn brick coal-oven pizzeria) and are expected to open in May 2027.
The daycare center has not been built yet. Lightbridge held a groundbreaking Monday. They are building an entirely new building from the ground up.
Lightbridge Academy calls itself "the solution for working families." They did not provide the cost or hours of their impending new Middletown location, but Lightbridge Academy ranges from $620 to $1,575 per month for childcare, depending on the child's age. Pricing varies by local franchise owner, state they are located in and specific care plans.
Says the company:
"This new location hopes to alleviate the difficulties faced by many by accommodating more than 100 families in the area with available childcare spots, along with employment opportunities for local educators."
Currently, there are more than 40 Lightbridge Academy locations throughout New Jersey.
