A Bigger & Better Beer Hall For Belford Brewing Company

The Belford Brewing Company held their own unique Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, October 1 and named it 'Belftoberfest' to mark the grand opening of the new tap & tasting room. The addition, which is right next door to the original space and connected with an inside archway, more than doubles the size of the popular brewing company, which pays homage to the Belford community by naming beers after places that exist in real time and are significant to the owners and region in some measure. Record crowds attended the event, with some guests traveling from as far as upstate New York and Connecticut to taste the over 15 beers on tap for the celebration. Mayor Gerard Scharfenberger cut the ribbon with owners Kevin & Mike Enny, prior to the start of the festivities. The brothers are Belford natives and lifelong Middletown residents, and Kevin has been experimenting with home brewing for several decades, which was the inspiration for the decision to start the business.
