Brookdale Haunted Theater Returns For 23rd Year Of Halloween Fright
The college's performing arts center becomes a labyrinth of terror, and they also offer "Lights On, Scares Off" versions for little kids.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The screams return to Brookdale Community College this October as the Haunted Theater returns for its 23rd year.
Voted Best Overall Attraction for seven consecutive years by NJHauntedHouses.com, Brookdale’s Haunted Theater has become a Halloween tradition for thrill-seekers throughout New Jersey.
The Haunted Theater will be open October 9–11, 16–18, 23–25, and 29–30, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Brookdale Community College PAC, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, off Museum Drive.

The entire haunted theater is imagined and built by Brookdale community college students. Designed, built and operated by past and present students, the Haunted Theater transforms the community college's Performing Arts Center into a terrifying labyrinth filled with gruesome scenes, sinister creatures, elaborate sets, special effects and heart-pounding surprises.
Guests make their way through a fully immersive haunted house experience that winds through the facility, with frights lurking around every corner.

Tickets must be purchased in advance for a designated time slot; tickets will not be sold at the door. Group rates are automatically applied for groups of 10 or more and 25 or more, and buses are welcome. Convenient parking is available in Lot 2, with accessible parking in Lot 1.

For those who want to experience the creativity behind the attraction without the screams, "Lights On, Scares Off" offers a family-friendly look inside the Haunted Theater on October 17 between noon to 2:00 p.m. and October 24 between 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 plus service fees.
With the lights on and the actors, jump scares, and loud noises removed, guests can walk through at their own pace and get a closer look at the sets, props, effects, and details created for the nighttime attraction.
Members of the Haunted Theater team will be available to answer questions and share behind-the-scenes insights into how the experience comes together. The event is ideal for younger guests, horror fans interested in the artistry of haunted attractions, and anyone who wants to see what is often missed when they are too busy screaming.
Also, on October 23 they will have a late-night screening of the cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."
Doors open at 10:30 p.m., with the movie beginning at 11:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 plus service fees, and $5 prop bags will be available for purchase at the door. Open to all.
