Burglar Targeted Wealthy Monmouth Towns; $1M in Stolen Items Found
Including a $5,000 bottle of Scotch, police said. He robbed homes in Middletown, Rumson and Holmdel.

A prolific Neptune burglar who targeted wealthy Monmouth County towns and homes was arrested this week and connected to as many as 20 active burglaries dating back to 2012, according to the Asbury Park Press.
Thomas “Tommy” Earls, 54, of Neptune, was arrested by Little Silver police after a Dec. 5 home break-in there, according to the APP. Police search Earls’ home, car and storage locker and found more than $1 million worth of stolen goods inside, including a 40-year-old bottle of Belvenie single malt Scotch valued at $5,000, a 24-karat gold lighter autographed by Bob Hope, Rolex watches, vintage coin collections, Tiffany jewelry, computers, iPads, iPods and cell phones.
