As we move into spring, there’s a natural invitation to come back to life - to reconnect, reawaken, and step out of the slower, more inward rhythm of winter. This meditation series is a space to gather in person, reconnect with yourself and others, and gently spark inspiration, clarity, and a renewed sense of energy.
Description: This 9-class spring meditation series includes 60-minute sessions with guided meditation, simple mindfulness practices, gentle breathwork, and time for group connection and reflection. Classes are relaxed, welcoming, and designed to help you feel more present, open, and aligned as you move into a new season. You’ll leave with tools you can carry into your daily life. No meditation experience is needed. Chairs are provided, and all are welcome.
Location: The Boathouse Studio (2nd floor), 34 Shrewsbury Ave. Red Bank, NJ 07701 Free parking in parking lot. Class is held on the 2nd floor of the building and is a breathtaking space with gorgeous views!
Class Dates: Thursdays at 9am April 16th through June 11th

Brookdale’s 2026 Scholarship Bash
The Brookdale Community College Foundation invites the community to A Night with the Stars: Where Futures Shine on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Branches in West Long Branch. The evening will bring together friends and champions of Brookdale to celebrate generosity and invest in the success of students across our community.
Brookdale is the #1 community college in New Jersey and ranks in the top 10% of community colleges nationally. Its Cyber Defense and Nursing programs are designated Centers of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National League for Nursing. With 130 nurses graduating annually, many of us, or our loved ones, will benefit from their care at some point. Yet more than 50% of Brookdale students rely on financial aid.
“We hope the community will join us for a wonderful evening that celebrates Brookdale students and helps ensure their futures continue to shine,” said 2026 Scholarship Bash Co-Chairs Carol Stillwell, Candy Langan-Sattenspiel, and Tracey Abby-White.
Guests will enjoy an elegant evening featuring dinner, dancing, an open bar, and both live and silent auctions, all in celebration of the bright futures made possible through scholarship support. Proceeds from the evening directly fund scholarships that remove financial barriers and help more Brookdale students pursue and complete their academic goals.

Pickleball Players Wanted!
Pickleball players and community supporters are invited to take part in Monmouth County Habitat for Humanity’s <a href="https://monmouthhabitat.org/pickleball2026/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">5th Annual “Hitting Close to Home” Pickleball Tournament</a> on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 6–10 PM at <a href="https://nsrctennis.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">New Shrewsbury Racquet Club</a>.
The annual fundraiser brings together more than 100 pickleball players for a fun, high-energy evening!
Proceeds from the event benefit Monmouth Habitat’s <a href="https://monmouthhabitat.org/programs/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Housing Programs</a>, including LIFT Veterans Build Home Repairs, Ramps &amp; Rails, Affordable Housing, and A Brush with Kindness. These programs help local families, seniors, and veterans remain safe and stable in their homes throughout Monmouth County.
The tournament’s mixed doubles rotating partner format makes it especially welcoming for players who may not usually compete in tournaments. Participants register individually and are paired with a different partner each round, creating a social and exciting experience with 6 - 7 guaranteed games.
Registration is $100 per player, which includes a tournament shirt and medals for winners.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Local businesses and organizations are invited to participate through event sponsorships, which help support Monmouth Habitat’s mission while offering visibility within the community. Some sponsorships include player places while these are available.
Silent Auction Donations
Monmouth Habitat for Humanity is also seeking silent auction donations, such as sports tickets, restaurant gift cards, products, or unique experiences. Please contact us if you have anything you would to donate. This will be going live soon so check our website!
