Beautiful Estrangement is a new one-man Irish-American folk musical based on a true story.
In September 2001, a Middletown family traveled to Ireland for their mother’s 60th birthday, hoping to find their grandmother’s long-lost cottage. What began as a nine-day CIE tour became something none of them could have imagined.
Written and performed by Middletown resident James Dunigan, the show blends live music, storytelling, humor and immersive audience participation in a deeply personal journey through family, fate and finding home when the world suddenly changes.
Five performances only — September 11–13
Navesink Library Theatre
Friday 7 PM • Saturday & Sunday 2 PM and 6 PM
