Capone, Tobacco Named President, Vice President Of Middletown BOE

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Frank Capone and Jacqueline Tobacco were again elected as president and vice president of the Middletown school board.

This took place at the school board meeting Wednesday night, which you can watch here.

Capone was nominated for president by Kate Farley and Joan Minnuies, and seconded by Tobacco. Capone then nominated Tobacco as vice president, seconded by Farley. Farley is an ally of Tobacco's and Capone's, and she votes alongside them on nearly all issues facing the district.

Capone and Tobacco were elected by all the other Board members in a unanimous vote. Even Board members who often disagree with Capone and Tobacco on issues, such as Deb Wright, voted to elect them as Board leadership.

Capone thanked his fellow Board members for choosing him as president.

"Together, we can navigate any obstacle and do so in the best interest of the students in Middletown," he addressed the Board Wednesday night.
