Capone, Tobacco Re-Elected As Middletown BOE President, Vice President

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — For the second year in a row, Frank Capone was named president of the Middletown school board for 2023, and Jacqueline Tobacco was named vice president.

This was determined Thursday night in a vote by their fellow board members on the Middletown Board of Education.

When asked by Patch what his and Tobacco's specific goals and agenda are for 2023, Capone replied Friday:

"We have great things in progress. A lot of shared-service initiatives and continuing to make Middletown the best place to live and raise a family!" said Capone. "Honestly, it's continuing the hard work of our board leadership and committees, ensuring we are answering the calls that parents and taxpayers want and deserve from a district, and we will continue to be strong voices for our children."

"Once again, thank you to my colleagues for giving me the opportunity to be your President and lead this incredible Board Of Ed for 2023. My highest priority this year is to continue being the pioneer for Board of Educations across the state," continued Capone.

"We will ensure we continue to deliver quality Middletown-approved education for our children. We will remain an advocate for all our children, parents and taxpayers, and we will continue to fight for the aid that we deserve to educate our children equally. We have great things on the horizon for 2023, and I am very excited to get this year started. I am humbled and honored to lead one of the largest and greatest school districts in New Jersey, and I will always continue to put our children first. Thank you."
