Cops: Middletown Man Had 85 Packets Of Heroin

Middletown Police arrested a township man who they say had 85 packets of heroin on him.

Joshua Hart, 23, from Church Street in the Belford section of town was arrested Monday, police said. He was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and loitering with the intent to use CDS.

Police found Hart on the Belford section of the Henry Hudson Trail, according to a news release from Deputy Chief Stephen Dollinger.

He said arrest was a result of the department’s increased patrols of the trail.Extra officers have been “patrolling on both foot and All-Terrain Vehicles to ensure the trail is safe for the community to enjoy recreational activities,” he said.

Detective Keith Hirschbein, and Patrolmen Gregory Buhowski and Nicholas Fenezia handled the investigation.
