Creative Arts and Music Festival This Weekend at Thompson Park

The festival is Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 and will feature arts, crafts and live music.

Lincroft, NJ - The Monmouth County Park System is hosting its annual Creative Arts & Music Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May 1.

The festival will be at Thompson Park off Newman Springs Road in Lincroft. This juried arts festival features specially selected artists’ works of pottery, photography, jewelry, paintings and other mediums. Participating artists include:

Besides the artwork, visitors will enjoy live music and art activities including a plein air painting competition. The performance schedule is as follows:

1 p.m. - Joe Frame

2:30 p.m. - This Old House Band

The plein air competition is held both days of the festival and is open to middle and high school students on Saturday, and adults on Sunday. Artists must bring their own supplies and can create any landscape scene from Thompson Park in any medium during the festival. Judged by New Jersey Plein Air Painter Anthony Migliaccio, each day of the competition will have a winner who receives a $50 gift certificate to Colorest. There is no charge for entering the competition.
