Curtain Opens on New Studios for Lincroft Music
Demand for guitar, piano and voice lessons pushes the owners to double their teaching space.

The waiting list for music lessons at Lincroft Music grew so long that last summer Sheri and Lucien Nocelli decided they had to double the size of their music center.
On Monday, Lincroft Music threw open the doors to their spacious new home at 631 Newman Springs Road (across from the Acme), just down the road from the former location. See photos of their new space on the Lincroft Music News blog on Middletown-NJ Patch.
"We had to move because of our reputation over the past ten years," said Sheri Nocelli, who handles the administrative side while husband Lucien, a professional musician, oversees the musical side. "Word of mouth is so huge. Everybody loves it and tells all their friends and I never have room. I've had a perpetual waiting list for a long time, so it's kind of cool now -- I can get people in."
The new building has four stylishly decorated music studios where teachers will give private half-hour voice, piano, and guitar lessons to a current roster of about 300 artists ranging from Kindergarteners to seniors.
There is a playroom for siblings, and lots of parking, and room to grow. Going forward, the Nocellis hope to offer drum and string instrument lessons.
And of course, they are preparing another concert at the Middletown Arts Center of the Lincroft Music All-Stars, an invitation-only group. See videos of their performance on their webpage.
