The Vendor Clearing House for Reusable Carryout Bags & Paper Bags Is Now Up and Operational!

Under NJ’s Ban on Plastic Carryout Bags and Polystyrene Foam Food Service Products, P.L. 2020 c.117, effective May 4, 2022, there was a requirement that the NJBAC create a vendor clearing house for reusable carryout bags and paper bags. This was to provide manufacturers a central place to register their reusable bags and businesses a place to get information on availability of the new bags.  This is a courtesy list of wholesale vendors who sell products that meet the requirements of the new law.  It is not an ecommerce site.

The sale of these newly required reusable bags is a potential business opportunity for NJ’s manufacturers and distributors of reusable carryout bags and paper carryout bags. We welcome New Jersey’s wholesale manufacturers and distributors to register their company and take advantage of this marketing opportunity.  Please encourage your manufacturers and distributors to register at:  Business.nj.gov/bags/vendorclearinghouse.

Here are the key definitions under the law.  For more detail, please see nj.gov/dep/plastic-ban-law/#faqs.

A "reusable carryout bag" must be:
