Employee Burned At Middletown Wendy's On Rt. 35

A 19-year-old female employee was burned by boiling hot water at the Wendy's last night, and it was bad enough to call 911.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A female employee was accidentally burned by boiling water at the Wendy's on Rt. 35 in Middletown Wednesday night, police report.

The incident happened just before 11 p.m. when Middletown police received a 911 call of a burn victim at the Wendy's at 1450 State Route 35. Medical personnel from the Leonardo First Aid and Rescue Squad and paramedics from MONOC also responded to the call.

A 19-year-old female employee had sustained non-life-threatening burns as a result of accidental contact with boiling water, police said.

She was treated on scene and then taken to Riverview Medical Center by ambulance.
