Entertainment Over the River at Basie
See who's appearing at the Count Basie Theater, Red Bank, this weekend.

As we head into November, we’ve got another busy weekend at Count Basie, with performances by Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman and Ben Bailey from the Discovery Channel’s Cash Cab.
On Friday, Nov. 4, be sure to check out the musical stylings of Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman, two original members of the progressive rock group Yes.
Jon Anderson was the lead vocalist and creative force behind the popular group Yes. Anderson co-authored some of the group’s biggest hits, including I’ve Seen All Good People, Roundabout, and Owner of a Lonely Heart.

Rick Wakeman is a talented pianist and keyboardist who first joined Yes in 1971. He has produced multiple solo albums throughout his long career, with the most widely known being The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Journey to the Centre of the Earth, and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
Get ready to laugh on Saturday, Nov. 5, when NJ native and host of the TV game show Cash Cab brings his comedic talent to the Count Basie stage.

A NJ native, Bailey spent time in Los Angeles where he tried his hand at standup comedy. Eventually, he moved back to New York and began doing open-mic nights to brush on his comedic skills. The perseverance paid off, and Bailey landed a job on the ultra-popular Discovery Channel show Cash Cab.
Bailey got his first break as a Star Search semi finalist in 2003. After that, the successes didn’t stop, and Bailey went on to have his own Comedy Central special. He has also appeared on Jay Leno, and has at multiple comedy festivals throughout the world. He has also made guest appearances on One Life to Live, Law and Order: SVU, Mad TV, Hope and Faith and The Knights of Prosperity.
Cash Cab airs on the Discovery Channel, and is a unique game show in which passengers in a special taxi are surprised and offered a chance to win money by correctly answering a series of general knowledge questions en route to their final destination. As the host of this popular show, Ben Bailey earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Game Show Host.
