The opening of the non-profit group 180's "The Pearl Project" will be held at the Middletown Arts Center on Wednesday, Jan 19, from 4-6pm.
"All art is autobiographical; the pearl is the oyster's autobiography."
Pearl Project is a way for those who have experienced domestic violence to share their personal stories of transformation from victim to survivor. Survivors and their children have created their own unique pearls as symbols of this transformation. The Pearl Project honors this journey because to free oneself from the pain of domestic violence is a price beyond pearls. Exhibit created by the clients of 180 TURNING LIVES AROUND.
