All-Women Lifeguard Tournament and WNBA's Kayte Christensen at Sandy Hook

Coca-Cola’s second annual America Is Your Park campaign kicks off its regional program at the All-Women Lifeguard Tournament in conjunction with the National Park Service, in Parking Lot E of Sandy Hook.

The All-Women Lifeguard Tournament will start at 9 a.m. Then the WNBA's Kayte Christensen hosts a WNBA clinic for members of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore at 11:15 a.m.

Attending the event with the WNBA superstar will also be NJ Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno; Dori Silverman, Asst. Vice President, Coca-Cola Refreshments; and Linda Canzanelli, Superintendent, Gateway National Recreation Area.

Enjoy an afternoon of fun-filled activity in support of Coca-Cola’s second annual America Is Your Park campaign as the company presents Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area with a $10,000 grant from its Live Positively initiative to support the Sandy Hook Unit.

Coca-Cola is also giving Middletowners the opportunity to vote for Sandy Hook as their favorite national park. From June 29, 2011 to September 6, 2011, people can go to www.LivePositively.com to cast a vote for their favorite park.

Individuals can vote in the following ways: click on their favorite park and vote, upload photos of themselves in their favorite park or “check in” from the park using Facebook Places.
