Clam Fest

Clam up and head on down to the 17th Annual Clam Fest at Huddy Park in the Highlands, running from August 4 through 7.  Today's festivities run from noon until 11 p.m.

Every kind of clam preparation from fried to steamed, stuffed or on the half shell, will be available from a bevy of the area's most popular restaurants. And , of course, there will be lots of other seafood including oysters, shrimp, lobsters, mussels, and more of the freshest fare from the sea.  Allergic to seafood? There's a complete "Land Lubber" menu as well, providing something for everyone.

All this can be enjoyed with a wine and beer garden, live entertainment, dancing, games, crafts, a 50/50 raffle, and carnival rides. And don't miss the contests, including the most-you-can-eat clam competition, baby costume contest, as well as the clam-shucking event.
