A pre-school preparatory camp for kids ages 4 to 8, Kids of Rock aims to stimulate children’s awareness of the world of rock and various genres of music. The two week camp is held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Middletown Arts Center, July 11 through 22.
Children will sing, dance, play various percussion instruments, participate in jamming to the music of the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Aerosmith (to name a few), as well as create new dance moves and exercises (with some time left for free play). They will also learn social skills, cooperation, listening skills, and build self confidence to prepare them for the transition into a larger class setting. Camp includes award winning Miss Sherri's compact disc, and a snack and drink are provided. Pack a lunch for a picnic.
