Saint James Preschool Launches New Program - Read, Rock, and Roll!


Saint James School hosts Read, Rock, and Roll!


Saint James Preschool is hosting a fun filled free program
called “Read, Rock,and Roll!” for parent/caregiver and child! This preschool program incorporates story time, a music session, and a gym class allowing your little one to experience the excitement of being in a friendly learning ‘school’ environment. Getting a head start on preschool education is key and will ensure your child’s readiness to enter a fall school program that will be easy, fun, and enjoyable


The Read, Rock, & Roll! program is held for 6 weeks starting October 3rd and meeting on Wednesdays from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at SaintJames School. We welcome children ages 2 ½ - 5 but space is limited. Please register your child by calling 732 741-3363 ext. #2. Although these story times and activities are aimed at preschool children, all young siblings are welcome.

READ - Story time classes introduce young children to books, rhymes,crafts, and other fun activities. Each session is tailored to match the children’s different developmental levels and ages, incorporating entertainment along with early literacy and math skills. Children are introduced to vocabulary, phonological awareness, letter recognition, print awareness, narrative skills counting, number matching.
ROCK - Music is fun! Enhance your child's development and love of music through song, dance, movement games, and instruments. With an array of styles, our music class helps children explore the power of rhythm and beat while
nurturing key physical, social and intellectual skills. Dance and sing to a new musical style each week!


ROLL - Our gym class is energy filled fitness and tumbling class. Children learn basic rolling, jumping and movement exercises while increasing their flexibility, balance, and coordination. Our aim is to help improve children’s listening skills and ability to follow directions within agroup.

The story time and music classes will be held in a classroom while the exercise and movement section will be in the gymnasium.
This new program will be moderated by teacher Janice Attardi.
