Summer Movie at the Library: Going My Way (1944)

The Middletown Township Public Library is hosting its Summer Movie series with a screening of Going My Way, the 1944 musical comedy starring Bing Crosby and Barry Fitzgerald.

The film was directed by Leo McCarey. The movie centers around a young priest taking over a parish from an experienced veteran. It was the highest grossing film in 1944 and won a total of seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and more.

There will be two screenings, at 2 and 6:30 p.m. in the air-conditioned and newly renovated Community Room, with an updated sound and projection system.
