'The Hot Snow' Movie at Brookdale

Brookdale Community College is offereing a screening of "The Hot Snow," in the Warner Student Life Center
on the Linfcroft campus.

The film is a Soviet era war movie that looks at the desperate Soviet defense of the Myshkova River crossing point during German General Erich von Manstein's "Operation Winter Storm"- the determined attempt to break into Stalingrad Pocket and bring relief to the German 6th Army surrounded by Russian forces in December 1942.

This is a great movie for anyone interested in the Battle of Stalingrad and the German attempts at relieving the entrapped 6th Army. The film looks at "Operation Winter Storm" from the viewpoint of a single Soviet anti-tank gun company and its component batteries.
