Fall Festival: Wind and Sea Festival in Middletown Sept. 17
Seining, crabbing, kayaking: All free this Saturday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Bayshore Waterfront Park in Port Monmouth.

Middletown, NJ - From kite flying to kayaking, the Monmouth County Park System’s Wind & Sea Festivalthis weekend is brimming with coastal activities for the whole family to enjoy!
Held on Saturday, September 17 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., this event will take place at Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth. Planned activities for the day include:
- Beach Volleyball
- Fishing & Crabbing
- Disc Golf
- Hula Dancing
- Kayaking
- Kite Flying
- Sailing
- Sand Castle Building
- Sand Casting
- Seining
- Shelling
Children can also listen to a storyteller and make a craft. Visitors of all ages will enjoy great food. Be sure to check out the professional sand sculptor working on the beach. Adding to the festive atmosphere is music provided by DJ Foggy Notion (from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.).

The event will also feature representatives from the Bayshore Regional Watershed Council, Clean Ocean Action, Jenkinson’s Aquarium, Marine Mammal Stranding Center, Monmouth County Clean Communities, NJ DEP Marine Fisheries Administration, NY/NJ Baykeeper, and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Most activities are free but some may have a fee. Admission and parking are free. Parking is available at the Belford Ferry Terminal located at 10 Harbor Way, Belford. A shuttle bus will transport visitors to and from the ferry terminal to Bayshore Waterfront Park.
