Man, 34, Killed In Tinton Falls Parkway Crash Saturday

A Scotch Plains man was killed when he got into a car accident Saturday night on the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls.

TINTON FALLS, NJ — A Scotch Plains man was killed when he got into a car accident Saturday night on the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls, according to New Jersey State Police.

The crash occurred at 11:43 p.m. on the Garden State Parkway south near mile marker 108.9 in the local lanes in Tinton Falls, said State Police.

Police say the man was driving a Chevy Impala southbound and struck multiple fixed objects before entering the grass median that separates the local and express lanes. There, he struck a concrete cantilever overhead sign support.

The driver, Fabrice Deryce, 34, of Scotch Plains, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation and there is no further information available, said State Police.
