February 3, 2020 Middletown Township Committee Meeting

The Township Committee voted to make Sunnyside Road a through street and lowered the speed limit on the road to 25 MPH in two separate ordinances.

A new ordinance was introduced to increase the number of Deputy Police Chiefs to three.

Members of the Committee congratulated the Mayor on his reception of the Spinnaker Award.

The Township Committee was asked if they had any plans in live streaming the Township Committee meetings, following in the footsteps of Holmdel Township. The reply was that their are plans put into place to have the equipment installed into the new Municipal Building ( a rendering is pictured above). It was stated that the building of this structure would begin in the end of February, 2020.
