Four Killed In Monmouth County House Fire

A house fire has claimed the lives of four people in Monmouth County, authorities said.

The blaze broke out after midnight Wednesday on Joline Avenue in Long Branch, and rescuers attempted to enter the house but were pushed back, according to 6abc Action News.

“Police tried to get in, but the house was fully involved,” Long Branch Public Safety Director Jason Roebuck told the news station.

Action News has learned that two adults and two children from the same family lived in the home.

News12 confirmed that four were killed in the fire. All four had injuries “other than fire,” News12 said.
