Four chances to join the American Littoral Society for bird walks through the forests, dunes and beaches of Sandy Hook:
HIGHLANDS, NJ — During the fall migration, Sandy Hook acts as a pivotal stopover for various species of songbirds and shorebirds before reaching their wintering grounds.
This September, join the American Littoral Society for birding along the coast as they look out for these migratory birds.
They'll walk through forests, marshes and shoreline areas in search of shorebirds, wading birds, ospreys, terns and more.
