Free Fall-Themed Event For Kids At Middletown Library Oct. 5

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Hey Middletown parents, we know you'll be looking for something — anything — to do with the kids on Oct. 5, a day school will be closed for NJEA teacher training.

That's why the Middletown Public Library will host a free “Fall Into Fun” event that day, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Oct. 5.

Bring the whole family to this action-packed day of fall-themed activities. The festivities will kick off as storyteller Queen Nur presents “Sweet Potato Pie and Such," an interactive collection of tales in the African and African-American oral tradition.

The celebration will continue outside the library in the afternoon with fall games, crafts, music and ponies. The ponies will be there for petting, but they won't be available for rides.

Registration is not required to attend. Overflow parking will be available on the day of the event at New Monmouth School and Tindall Park. Parents must remain with their children the whole time; this is not a drop-off event.

The Middletown Library is partnering with the Bayshore Family Success Center to host this event.
