The  girls of the Middletown Patriots U-14 soccer team lost a game 2-0 to the East Brunswick Spirit in a Manalapan Memorial Day tournament yesterday.

It was their final game of the tournament in which they won one game, lost two, and tied one.

The goals were scored by East Brunswick girls Sammi Potts with a header, and Demi Rousseau with a penalty kick.

Teams came from all over New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and southern New York to compete in division championships. The tournament took place at Manalapan Rec Center and continued past sundown.
