IMA Urgent Care Patients Donate Water To Local Fire Fighters
IMA patients and staff donated more than 125 cases of bottled water, all of which will be given to local Bayshore fire departments.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — IMA urgent care and primary care centers, located throughout the Bayshore region, collected more than 125 cases of bottled water from their patients this month, all of which will be donated to local fire departments.
The bottled water drive was held during May and IMA patients dropped off cases of bottled water to IMA’s three urgent care centers and eight primary care offices.
“Volunteer fire departments rely on bottled water during a fire not only to stay hydrated, but to rinse hands and face after a fire," said Dr. Roger Thompson of IMA.

Temperatures can soar while fighting a fire or rescue attempt. By providing bottled water, we can ensure fire fighters stay hydrated during an emergency. Additionally, bottled water is more convenient than refilling reusable bottles because during an emergency, time is of the essence.
“The town of Middletown alone responded to over 1,000 fires in 2018 and like all of the other fire departments in the area, their members are all volunteer. Providing these first responders with clean, potable water to have while responding to an emergency is a very simple thing to do," said Dr. Thompson.
