Improved NJ Transit Bus Service for Brookdale College this Fall
Starting in Sept., it will be easier to reach the Brookdale Community College campus by bus.

Lincroft, NJ - Do you take the bus to get to Brookdale Community College? There will be several changes coming to the NJ Transit bus route that serves the campus, all of which are set to begin this September.
There is currently only one NJ Transit bus line, the No. 833, that stops at Brookdale. Anyone taking that bus must transfer to get to the college and the bus only operates on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. However, starting in September, NJ Transit will be adding evening and weekend service to Brookdale’s main campus. It will also offer increased service between Lincroft and Red Bank, new direct service to Brookdale's satellite campus in Hazlet and new “one-seat” rides to Lincroft from River Road and Rt. 35.
All adjustments will be made at no additional cost, the community college said.

The changes come after three years of research and study by a team of Brookdale employees, county officials and transportation representatives, to try and ease the burden on students who rely on public transportation to get to college. All the changes will be announced in more detail at a public meeting at the college next Tuesday night, Tuesday, August 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Warner Student Life Center. Patch will keep you updated on the specific changes once we learn them.
