The first meeting of the year is when the Township Committee reorganizes the government for the coming year. Volunteers to the many boards, commissions and committees are appointed during this meeting. EMS officers, that were elected in December are also sworn in.
Three ordinances were introduced;
2020-3278 will allow the Township to purchase property located at 37-45 Leonardville Rd. in Belford. The property will be used to construct affordable housing for income-eligible veterans.
2020-3279 will reduce the number of members of the Zoning Board by 2.
2020-3280 will increase the number of members of the Economic Development Committee by 2.
Resolutions were adopted to appoint residents to the boards, commissions and committees.
