January Programs For Children And Teens At Middletown Public Library

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Celebrate the start of 2023 with these free programs for children and teens at the Middletown Public Library:

Teen Craft Night – January 4 at 7 p.m.: Relax, listen to music and create a craft at this teen event.

Gymboree for toddlers & babies – January 5 at 10:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.: Gymboree of Red Bank returns to offer monthly gym classes for babies and toddlers. Please visit calendar page for program parameters and registration.

Maker Monday (for Grades 3 and up) – January 9 & 23 at 4:15 p.m.: Tweens are invited to come to the library to paint a teddy bear bank. Registration is required.

Techniques for Your Anxious Teen – January 11 at 7:00 p.m.: Learn techniques to help your child manage their anxiety from Megan Callus, Z-Health Applied Neuroanatomy Specialist. For teens and parents of teens.

Saturday Family Storytime & Craft – January 14 at 10:00 a.m.: Sign up for some fun winter stories and make a winter hat and mitten craft that you can hang up all season long! Please register at mtpl.org as space is limited.

Family Movie: “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile”– January 14 at 2:00 p.m.: Enjoy a family movie day in the library’s community room with a showing of "Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile.”

Queen Nur: "The Games We Play Unplugged" – January 16 (MLK Day) at 11:00 a.m.: Storyteller Karen Abdul-Malik, aka Queen Nur, returns for a full audience participation event with new and traditional cooperative games from the oral tradition.

Set Goals, Get Results (for teens) – January 25 at 7:00 p.m.: Learn tips about setting goals and hear about strategies on how to achieve them at this New Year’s-themed teen program.

Manga Book Club for Teens – January 31 at 4:00 p.m.: Join the Middletown Library's new Manga book club for its first meeting to discuss My Hero Academia, Vol. 1.
