June 17, 2019 Middletown Township Committee Meeting

Proclamations were presented recognizing:
Chelsea Maguire for her heroics in performing the heimlich manoeuvre on a woman,
High School North Womans Softball Team for winning the State Championship;
High School North DECA Student Achievers;
Relay For Life of Middletown.
Ordinance 2019-3256 was passed that will allow the Fire Department to elect their officials in the first or second week in December, instead of the second week only.
In regular business, the township accepted a $160k grant to fund the Clean Communities program;
authorized the Tax Collector to prepare & mail estimated tax bills;
rejected the bid to make improvements to Indian Terrace and Grand Tour;
authorized the Township Clerk to advertise an RFP to redevelop portions of Rt. 36 in Belford;
and to pay the bills of the township.
5 liquor licenses were voted for renewal, also.
