Middletown Teen Boy On E-Bike Drove Into Back Of Car
The collision happened early Wednesday evening on Newman Springs Road:
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A teen boy riding an e-bike drove into the back of a car early Wednesday evening on Newman Springs Road, said Middletown Police.
This happened at 5:24 p.m. in the area of Newman Springs Road (County Road 520) and Jumping Brook Road, said police.
The e-bike crashed into a car, said Middletown Police. The car was stopped on Newman Springs Road and the e-bike operator, a 15-year-old boy who lives in Middletown, drove into the back of the car.

Members of Middletown EMS were the first to arrive at the scene and they found the teen boy lying in the road.
They started immediate life-saving efforts, and he was taken by ambulance to Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

The teen boy was wearing a helmet. Middletown Police will not be releasing his name as he is a minor.
The driver and occupant of the car were uninjured, stayed at the scene and been cooperative in the investigation.
This was the incident that closed Newman Springs Road to traffic for several hours Wednesday.
The crash is still under investigation by Patrolman Michael Masiello and members of the Middletown Twp. Police Traffic Safety Bureau. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information is asked to contact Ptl. Masiello at (732) 615-2049.
