Man Shot Woman Near Asbury Circle, Police Say
The Keansburg man shot her Monday afternoon near the Asbury Circle on Rt. 35, said police:
NEPTUNE, NJ — A Keansburg man is arrested and charged with shooting a woman Monday near the Asbury Park circle in Neptune Township, said Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago.
The shooting happened at 5:43 p.m. Monday in the vicinity of the Asbury Park Circle and Rt. 35 south.
Shortly thereafter, a woman arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say Jaiden V. Edwards, 21, of Keansburg, is responsible. A spokesman for the prosecutor said he cannot reveal how the man and woman knew each other.
Edwards was charged with one count of first-degree attempted murder, plus illegal weapons offenses.

This case was investigated by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes, plus the prosecutor's Gang Unit, and Neptune Twp. Police.
