Leonardo Man Committed Lewd Act In Car, Atlantic Highlands Police Say
Police say on June 29 this man committed a lewd act from his car at the Atlantic Highlands skate park:

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ — Police in Atlantic Highlands say that on June 29 this man committed a lewd act inside his car while looking at two young women who were under the age of 18.
This happened at 4:57 p.m. June 29 in the area of the Skate Park on First Avenue.
The two teen girls called police and reported that a middle-aged white man committed an unspecified lewd act while inside a white sedan that had since left the area.

The next day, June 30 Atlantic Highlands Police say they positively identified the white sedan using surveillance footage from the scene.
"A positive hit on an automated license plate reader (ALPR) confirmed the vehicle was in the area during the time of the incident," said Atlantic Highlands Police. "Patrolman David Cunha and Detective Travis Morgan located the vehicle on the same day, traveling in Atlantic Highlands. They made a stop of the vehicle on Center Avenue in Leonardo and the stop resulted in a male subject fitting the description provided by the two juveniles."

Robert Turner of Carlstadt, currently living in Leonardo, was charged with two counts of child endangerment and one count of criminal sexual contact.
"This matter is still under investigation and we encourage the public to always say something if they see something," said Atlantic Highlands Police. "Thanks to all members of the public that helped in this investigation."
