Local Officials Mark 25th Year Of Sweet Success At Suzi's Sweet Shoppe

Friends, Family, Neighbors & Elected Officials Gathered November 5 To Celebrate Cheers To 25 Years At Suzi's Sweet Shoppe in Middletown, NJ

Suzi's Sweet Shoppe, a chocolate boutique and 'sweet' staple in the community of Middletown, officially marked 25 years in business on Saturday, November 5 with a festive celebration, Cheers To 25 Years. Middletown Mayor Tony Perry was on hand along with Committeewoman Kimberly Kratz and State Assemblyman Gerard Scharfenberger to memorialize the long-standing success of the small, locally-owned family business, who is famous for the saying, "Where The Love Of Family Meets The Love Of Chocolate." Indeed, four generations of family are involved in some capacity within the business.

Perry presented a proclamation honoring the business, and Scharfenberger, who presented a joint resolution from the New Jersey Assembly & New Jersey Senate, remarked, "Twenty five years of being in business is certainly an amazing accomplishment, especially in New Jersey."

Throughout the day, hundreds of people came to celebrate, enjoying the chocolate tastings, hot dogs, cake by J & M Bakery, delicious fresh apple cider, face painting and a live broadcast by Thunder 106. The prize wheel was a hit too. Kids especially enjoyed having their faces painted, and several adults joined in that fun activity also.
