Local Woman Struck by NJ Transit Train in Middletown

The woman, 22, from Middletown, was hit by the train at 8:30 Saturday night at the Church Street crossing.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ - A 22-year-old Middletown woman was struck by an NJ Transit train Saturday night in Middletown Township, according to a report on the Asbury Park Press.

The woman was struck by the train when she tried to walk across the Church Street crossing; she was alive when taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center, NJ Transit officials said.

The incident happened at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The woman was identified as 22-year-old Blayke Terry, from Middletown. She was hit by a train that had left Long Branch station at 8:03 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in New York City at 9:42 p.m.
