Maine Woman Searching For Long Lost Sister In New Jersey

Do you think you know Libby Caldwell's sister?

MIDDLETOWN, NJ-- A Maine woman is searching for her New Jersey born biological sister-- and needs your help.

Libby Caldwell has never met her biological sister, but hopes the two can be reunited soon. She's asking for New Jersey's help identifying the woman.

Caldwell was born in Maine on March 13, 1986. Her biological mother, Jennie Havens, left shortly afterwards to return to NJ with Caldwell's biological father, Tim Foy.

Her sister was born on March 3, 1987, and was named Jade. It's unclear if her name is still Jade, or if it was changed.

Havens had wanted the two sisters to be adopted together, even contacting the state of Maine to let them know she'd had a second child, but a clerical error prevented that.

The sister was placed in a New Jersey home with a five year-old child.

Havens was also adopted. A Native-American Cree, Havens was born in Saddle Lake, Alberta, and raised in Lawrenceville by Gifford and Janet Havens. Caldwell believes Gifford was a professor at an all boys school; he died in 2010. Janet died in 1985.

There is a possibility Caldwell and her sister share the same father, but she's not sure.

"I found my biological father in February and he told me that he and my mother were together for six months after I was born...which would make him the father also," Caldwell said. She told Patch she had since cut communication with Foy.
