Man Charged With Shoplifting From Sears In Middletown
Christopher M. Sclavunos of Keansburg is also facing burglary and other charges, unrelated to the Sears case, police said.

Police have arrested a Keansburg man who they say shoplifted from Sears in Middletown.
Christopher M. Sclavunos, 33, of Frazee Avenue in Keansburg was charged with shoplifting. He is also facing burglary and other charges, unrelated to the Sears case, police said.
According to county jail records, he is facing charges including burglary, theft, criminal mischief and receiving stolen property. Those charges were filed by Hazlet police.

Hazlet police say they arrested him on Aug. 1, in a swim club parking lot in connection with a burglary in the Lillian Drive area in that community.
In July, on their Facebook page, Middletown police posted a surveillance photo from the store and asked for the public’s help identifying the man in the picture.

Tips from the public and other law enforcement agencies led police to the Keansburg resident, police said on Wednesday. Detective Kelly Godley made the arrest.
Sclavunos is being held in the Monmouth County Jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of bail set at a total of $96,000.
