Man Harassed, Threatened Keansburg Teen Girl, Police Say
This 38-year-old man met the Keansburg teen on social media. She sent him explicit photos, which he then sent to all her family members.

KEANSBURG, NJ — On Friday, the Monmouth County Prosecutor announced that her office accuses this Jersey City man of soliciting illicit photos and videos from a teenage Keanburg girl, and then distributing them to her family in retaliation for her breaking off contact with him.
The man is David Lopez, 38, of Jersey City, who has been charged with: first-degree child sex abuse materials, five counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree criminal coercion and terroristic threats and six counts of fourth-degree cyber harassment, among other crimes.
The investigation was started by the Keansburg Police Department: They say Lopez made contact with the teen girl via social media sometime prior to August 2020, and asked her to send him sexually explicit photos and videos.

After several such exchanges, the teen said she wanted to stop communicating with Lopez.
He responded by sending some of the photos and videos to no fewer than half a dozen of her family members, including children as young as 11, said acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey.

In addition, Lopez threatened to harm the teen's family, threatened to have other individuals harm them, threatened to burn down their house, and told her he could make her life “a living hell.”
Lopez was arrested at his home in Jersey City on August 25, 2020.
Anyone with additional information about Lopez’s activities is being asked to contact Keansburg Police Department Detective Lt. Bryan King at 732-787-0600.
