Man Survives After Being Hit On Leonardville Rd. In Middletown
A 34-year-old local man was struck by a car Monday, Sept. 23 on Leonardville Road. He survived but remains hospitalized, say police.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A 34-year-old local man was struck by a car Monday evening on Leonardville Road. He survived but remains hospitalized, according to Middletown police.
What appears to have been an accident occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23. The man, who was walking at the time, was hit on Leonardville Road near the Leonard Avenue intersection (near Hosford Avenue and Bayshore Middle School).
The pedestrian was transported by Lincroft Volunteer First Aid and Rescue Squad to Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment. He remains hospitalized as of Tuesday afternoon, but his injuries were not life threatening, said Middletown police.

He is a resident of Leonardo.
The driver of the car that hit him, a 59-year-old man from Middletown, remained at the scene and is cooperating in the police investigation. There have been no summonses issued at this time, said Middletown police.
