Ordinances were adopted to establish a refund policy for recreation programs and raise recreation preschool program fees.
Ordinances were introduced to amend engineering and public works fees and another to exceed the municipal budget and establish a CAP bank.
A point of discussion was related to the township recycling program and the amount of trash that is placed into homeowners' recycling containers. The township will begin to monitor residents recycling containers and refusing to collect recyclables that are in containers with trash, like garbage bags.
A number of residents came in to express their concerns regarding the construction of a crematory at Fairview Cemetery. There were enough members of the community to cause the Township Committee to relocate the meeting from the Conference Room to the Court Room. The elected officials cited an ongoing lawsuit against the Zoning Board as the reason not to respond to those who commented.
