Mav's Top Buns Cinnamon Buns Opens In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Like cinnamon buns? Who doesn't?

A new cinnamon bun bakery just opened this January in Middletown: It's called Mav's Top Buns and they're located at 1092 Rt. 35, next to Sono Sushi in the Middletown Bottle King shopping complex.

Mav's Top Buns describes itself as "family-owned artisanal cinnamon buns with a cult following." Their new Middletown store is only open on weekends from 8-11 a.m. (Patch originally incorrectly reported it was open daily. That was an error. We apologize for that.)

They serve a variety of cinnamon buns: Oreo, OG (original) Nutella babka, apple crisp, raspberry white chocolate and their newest bun, the French Montana (French onion ).

The Galley Pizza and Eatery in Asbury Park is now serving their French onion bun as the bread topping for a burger: The French Onion Burger, made with Pat LaFrieda double smash burger, French onion gravy, provolone and topped with Mavs French Montana bun; see the mouth-watering pics.
