Previous to this position, for 13 years, Ms. Melera was President and CEO of The D. Landreth Seed Company--the oldest seed house in America, established in 1784, and the fourth oldest U.S. corporation. Our speaker has had a fascinating career and is an excellent speaker.
This program will begin, in the theater at MAC, at 11:30 AM. There is parking on the side street just past the MAC or in the train parking lot directly across the street from MAC.

Our speaker’s program is, “From Immigrants to the Internet—The Evolution of the 21st Century American Gardener.” She will trace the evolution of the American Gardeners from their immigrant beginnings to how the internet and social media now play a role in the acquisition of knowledge and skills for today’s gardeners.
Our meetings are normally held on the third Tuesday of every month (except July and August) at 9:30 AM at the Little Red Schoolhouse on the corner of Middletown Lincroft and Dwight Roads across from Thompson Middle School.
We have been in existence for 78 years and the building in which we meet is a State and National Historic Site. The property is owned by Middletown Township and the interior of the building and the grounds are maintained by the Garden Club R.F.D.
Our Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club of New Jersey and the Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs, Inc. as well as the National Garden Clubs, Inc. There is a quarterly state newsletter, called “News Leaf”, that is emailed to each member detailing happenings around the state, the region and nationally.
