Middletown Begins Free Daily Covid Testing This Sunday

All the testing will continue to be done in the parking lot at the Middletown Train Station.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Great news for Middletown residents who need a coronavirus test: The free coronavirus testing that Middletown offered before Christmas will now be offered all throughout the month of January.

Starting Sunday, January 3, Middletown will be sponsoring weekly COVID-19 testing events on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and on Mondays and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

All the testing will continue to be done in the parking lot at the Middletown train station. Visit www.middletownnj.org/covid19screening to register and for additional information. You should register in advance.

"The demand each day seemed to be very strong. If it slows down we can always reduce the number of days," said Middletown town administrator Anthony Mercantante on New Year's Day, of why the town continued to offer the testing. "I also think our location is particularly good and convenient for the region. We will continue as long as the need exists."

The testing is not just open to Middletown residents. The town would like you to enter your insurance, if you have it, but the testing is also offered for free.
