MIDDLETOWN, NJ — This past Sunday night, Feb. 25, the Middletown EMS cadets toured the Monmouth County Sheriff's facility to get a perspective of what the 911 call center is all about.

The 911 call center is part of the Monmouth County Sheriff's headquarters, which is located at 2500 Kozloski Road in Freehold Township. The cadets got an overview of how the 911 system works and the capabilities of the sheriff's office relating to all fire, EMS, and police events county-wide and state-wide.

The cadets also got to tour the actual room where 911 calls are taken and meet the communications operators. They also toured other parts of the facility and saw the various apparatus (field communications unit, EMS support unit, etc.) that the county has to support EMS operations in the field.
