Middletown Farmers' Market Debuts Aug. 20
Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Middletown train station, and then returning Sept. 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Middletown, NJ - Middletown residents have been hearing about it for some time, and yes, now it's finally here. The Middletown farmers' market will debut on Saturday, August 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Middletown Train Station on Church Street in Middletown Village.
This is more than just a fruit and vegetable stand: The market is being called the Middletown Farmers & Makers Market and will feature local farmers, vendors, artists, and craftspeople. Back when he first took office in January of this year, Middletown Mayor Gerry Scharfenberger told Patch he was working to get a farmers’ and seafood market to hopefully open this summer. “It will probably be located close to the Middletown NJ Transit train station, and the Middletown Arts Center,” he said back in the January 7 interview. "We are working on getting all the food permits now.”
Saturday, Aug. 20 will also include live music and entertainment and a kids' pirate-themed magic show. The Farmers and Makers Market will return on September 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a new round of free entertainment. Farmers and craftspeople are encouraged to register for both days. The fee is $30 per day for each 10’x 10’ spot.
